14 Sep Blitz Tampa Discuss Self-Respect and Its Power
“The thing about self-respect is that it is not given to you by external forces. It is something that can only be obtained from within. Many go their entire lives without understanding the basic foundation of self-respect. Everyone assumes as long as others respect them, that is all they need. We believe that your journey is deeply rooted in how you perceive yourself. Do you have respect for yourself?” asks Blitz Tampa CEO, Marques Aiken. Self-respect allows an individual to see beyond their mistakes and their achievements to realize that they are worth more than they see themselves. For example, say that you are stuck within a career or job that you don’t like, you must have self-respect for yourself to leave it and look towards what makes you feel like you’re living a life that is worthwhile.
“The business industry for me gives me immense self-respect. Every day is different and the goals we try to reach are endless. This type of motivation daily gives me the ability to say that I have self-respect, but its not the same for many that go throughout their professional or personal careers wondering if they could have more,” says Blitz Tampa. At our firm we narrowed down one key factor that makes sure our representatives practice self-respect. This main idea is that they value their core beliefs. Valuing yourself for who you are, what you stand for, and your morals will really lead you a long way in anything that you do. It gives you the self-respect to look at yourself and be proud of who you are.
We discuss self-respect for awareness because not everyone believes they are worthy of greatness. On the contrary, Blitz Tampa believes that greatness is worthy to those that try their hardest to attain whatever goal they want in life. Whether you want to be a successful, thriving entrepreneur or if you want to be the first person to discover something new; these are goals that people have and without self-respect and values they are not possible. Our purpose is to remind ourselves and others that self-respect matters. It starts with you and only you first.
